File Manager
Open Kwiq's File Manager as a standalone activity from any launcher. Browse, copy, move, rename, extract ZIPs, edit text, and manage media without leaving your current home screen.
Fast Android launcher
Kwiq combines universal search, a capable file manager, desktop and gaming modes, an offline keyboard, and deep Material You customization in one launcher.

Overview
Kwiq can be a focused home screen, a file workspace, a compact desktop, or a controller-friendly game hub. Each feature remains configurable from the launcher settings.
Modular by design
Kwiq is not just a launcher. Every major feature is a standalone Android component that can be used independently, with or without Kwiq as your home screen. Mix and match what works for you.
Open Kwiq's File Manager as a standalone activity from any launcher. Browse, copy, move, rename, extract ZIPs, edit text, and manage media without leaving your current home screen.
Launch Gaming Mode directly — a fullscreen, controller-friendly hub for Android games and ROMs. Connect a gamepad, browse your library, and play without Kwiq as your default launcher.
Turn your phone into a desktop workspace on landscape or external displays. Floating windows, taskbar, Start menu — all available as a standalone activity from any launcher.
Enable Kwiq as your system keyboard and use it everywhere, in every app, regardless of your launcher. Offline suggestions in PT, EN, ES, with privacy-focused anonymous mode.
Activate the Kwiq Live Wallpaper from the Android wallpaper picker. It runs as a system WallpaperService independently of the Kwiq launcher, with slideshow, slots, and battery liquid indicator.
Set static wallpapers for Home, Lock, or both screens from any launcher. Kwiq's wallpaper picker activity works standalone, with crop and source selection.
Universal search
Search apps, shortcuts, contacts, calendar events, files, and launcher settings with debounced fuzzy matching that ignores accents and spaces.
Recognizes math, URLs, email addresses, and phone numbers. Open links, compose email, call, send SMS, save a contact, or message through compatible installed apps.
Send a query to the browser, Google, Google Play, YouTube, Spotify, YouTube Music, or Google Maps. Voice input is available from the device microphone.
Choose Kwiq as your Android personal assistant, then long-press Home to jump straight into its global search from anywhere.
Home and organization
Use the large clock, weather, most-used apps, recent installs, favorites, recent files, starred contacts, agenda, and app shortcuts as the building blocks of Home.
Pin Android widgets and Markdown notes, then edit their position and size. Pinned notes can also be used as keyboard paste templates.
Create, edit, hide, delete, and auto-complete color-coded tags. Apps can belong to multiple categories, with configurable icon borders and alphabetical grouping.
Files and media
Navigate device storage with common-folder shortcuts; use list, grid, gallery, or media-player views; sort by name, modification date, creation date, or type.
Select multiple items to copy, cut, move, rename, delete, share, inspect, create folders or notes, create ZIP archives, and extract ZIP or 7z archives.
Read and edit text or Markdown, inspect image EXIF and audio metadata including album art, browse media galleries, and manage a playback queue.
Give folders a custom color and badge icon. Dot-prefixed files and folders stay hidden until you enable their visibility.
Choose a ROM and patch, optionally validate checksums, and save the result. IPS/EBP, UPS, and BPS are applied natively; detected formats without a decoder are clearly reported.
Desktop mode displays the device's internal storage directly, giving you access to all your files without needing a dedicated folder.
Tools and convenience
Show, hide, and reorder every quick tool in the footer. When there is not enough room, simply scroll the bar horizontally.

Personalization
Choose light, dark, or system theme; use a dynamic or manual accent color; pick circular or rounded icons; and enable themed adaptive icons.
Set separate wallpapers for light/dark and portrait/landscape modes, plus gaming and lock-screen slots. Each slot supports multiple images, cropping, overlays, and slideshows.
Use the built-in library, gallery, solid colors, or supported online providers. Create, share, import, export, and apply wallpaper presets; some providers need your own API key.
Live Wallpaper
The Kwiq Live Wallpaper turns your device into a dynamic canvas with context-aware slots, configurable slideshows, online sources, and a battery liquid indicator — all managed through XMP metadata stored right in each image file.
Assign different wallpapers for Light Portrait, Light Landscape, Dark Portrait, and Dark Landscape. Kwiq automatically picks the right one based on your theme and device orientation. When a slot is empty, it falls back intelligently through the remaining slots.
Each wallpaper in a slot can have its own display duration (5 seconds to 1 hour). The slideshow loops automatically, and you can advance manually at any time. Every image remembers its place in the sequence and its crop settings.
Choose from Kwiq's bundled library, your device gallery, a solid color, or online providers: Wallhaven, Unsplash, Pixabay, Pexels, Safebooru, Wikimedia Commons, Openverse, Picsum Photos, and LoremFlickr. Some providers support additional filters like category, purity, image type, and orientation. Unsplash, Pixabay, and Pexels require your own API key.
Save complete wallpaper setups as presets — all four slots with their images, metadata, and crop settings. Presets are stored as folders in your device storage, making them easy to back up, share, import, and export as ZIP files.
Turn your lock screen wallpaper into a subtle battery gauge. The liquid fill type, color, and wave animation reflect your current battery level — a beautiful way to stay informed at a glance.
Use the standalone picker to set traditional static wallpapers for the Home screen, Lock screen, or both. Crop, zoom, and pan each image to fit perfectly before applying.
Every wallpaper carries its own settings embedded as XMP metadata: sequence position, overlay opacity (0–100%), display duration, pan offset, and zoom level. This means wallpaper folders are fully portable — copy them anywhere and the settings travel with the images.
Wallpaper presets and battery liquid preferences are included in Kwiq's backup system. Switching devices or resetting your phone? Restore your entire wallpaper setup from a single .kwiqbkp file.
Desktop and external displays
Desktop mode uses landscape orientation and a smaller visual density, with a compact taskbar, category-based Start menu, desktop items, and active-notification bell.
Open apps and tools from a compact taskbar. The Start menu follows your launcher categories and alphabetic app ordering; leave desktop mode from its dedicated taskbar control.
Kwiq supplies movable, resizable, minimizable, and maximizable internal windows for its file manager and text viewer/editor. Other apps follow the Android windowing support available on the device.
Choose normal, desktop, or gaming behavior for a connected secondary display. Landscape auto-entry into desktop mode is configurable.
Gaming mode
Use OTG or Bluetooth gamepads, open Gaming with BUTTON_MODE, diagnose controller input, or automatically open the mode in landscape when a controller is connected.
Browse Android games and ROMs by platform or category, configure detected emulators, run an auto-setup assistant, and manage recent games, favorites, search, and ordering.
Assign local artwork, edit metadata, and optionally search IGDB or TheGamesDB. Those metadata services require credentials supplied by you.
Open Xbox Cloud Gaming and discover compatible remote-play apps already installed on the device.
Kwiq Keyboard
Enable Kwiq as a system keyboard for Portuguese, English, and Spanish dictionaries, local word learning, suggestions, and autocorrect.
Use haptics, long-press character variants, symbol and emoji pages, Markdown shortcuts, optional arrow/WASD keys, and analog-stick navigation.
Switch language from the spacebar, select a long-press delay, tint keys, turn on anonymous mode, and use pinned Markdown notes as paste templates.
Permissions and services
Contacts, calendar, files and media, microphone, camera, notifications, usage access, widgets, accessibility, and screen capture are requested only for the feature that needs them. Online providers require a connection, and some require a personal API key.
